I have the SMS add-on module for my subscription, can I proactively text guests?

IMPORTANT -- For US Customers
In order to comply with US regulations related to sending proactive text messages, you are required to email us information and supporting evidence which details how guests will opt into receiving text messages from your organization.

 

Yes! You have two options for proactively texting guests within the SMS add-on module.

  1. Our webclient for staffing has a "SEND SMS" feature that can be accessed by hovering over your texting queue in the contact list.
  2. Our 3mail module has a simple "CREATE SMS" feature at the top, left of the page. When guests reply, they would get handled through chat like usual.

Webclient for Staffing

1) Hover over your texting queue in the Contacts List within the webclient for staffing. Click the "SEND SMS" button to launch a window that will let you send a text message.

2) Enter the guest's phone number along with a message. Then click "SEND"

3) You'll see a chat with that guest pop up in the webclient for staffing. You can then close the chat window by clicking the X in the top, left corner or you can send additional messages if desired.
