Yes! The chat embed code from the chat snippets page in the admin dashboard work within ProQuest, but it can be difficult to tell because you have to delete browser cookies/cache in order to actually see each change made in the PQ widget configuration reflected in the PQ public user interface. Note that you really do seem to need to clear ProQuest cookies in particular, not just cache.
When editing, the best thing we've found to do is use the admin site in one browser (e.g. Firefox) and the public-facing view of a database (like ERIC) in another browser (e.g. Chrome). Whenever you save a change to the widget in the ProQuest admin site in the first browser, clear the second browser's ProQuest cookies/cache and reload to see the changes.
